"The lyrics of each of the seven songs on For the 99 are amazing . . . resulting from your deep experience of injustice, empathy and love answering with a brave call for us to work for a better and just future. These are words for all times, courageous inspiring and strong."

On “For the 99” folksinger and guitarist extraordinaire Sharleen Leahey evokes the topical folk tradition from the 30s to the 60s and beyond to protest, console, and despite everything, strengthen our faith in the good. I call her “my Joan Baez,” but she writes her very own lyrics and melodies in addition to singing like an angel.

I did not realize you were such a consistently great songwriter. I really like "Amadou." It is haunting. It is also great that I finally get to OWN a recording of "The Woman's Suffrage Song!"
